Box jumps is a great exercise for developing an explosive leg power. In it’s turn this helps to increase the results in squats with a barbell, deadlift, snatch or clean. In addition, if you perform this exercise in a high tempo, tt serves as a good cardio session for your body.
Initial position:
- Srand in front of a box. Feet shoulder width apart.
Performing the exercise:
- Bend your knees a little and then make a powerfull jump on the box with swinging your hands to help.
- You need to land on a box on slightly bent legs, this will reduce the risk of injury during exercise. At the top point, knee joints and hip joints should be straightened.
- You can jump back to the starting position, or just step back.
Contraindications:
With caution, perform the exercise in diseases or injuries of knee joints and spine, with hypertension and vegetative vascular dystonia.
